Waltzing Matilda Aviation (WMA) is an American air charter company headquartered at Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts.:[1]
History[edit]
WMA was co-founded by John Thomas, an airline executive and former CEO of Virgin Australia.
Charter Service[edit]
WMA currently operates on-demand Part 135 air charters across the United States. In 2020 during the global COVID-19 pandemic, WMA reported a significant increase in bookings. In 2020, it was announced that WMA had acquired approval to conduct charter flights to and from Washington DC's highly restricted Washington-National Airport (DCA).
Airline Service[edit]
In March 2021, WMA announced the addition of Part 121 scheduled airline service using the Dash-8 Q400, with operations commencing in Fall of 2021.[2][3] The airline will operate to various destinations in the United States from Toronto's Billy Bishop Airport (CYTZ).[4]
