Warforge is a 2022 multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Thousand Hour Games. Being inspired by the most interesting mechanics from other multiplayer online battle arena games, Thousand Hour Games' team decided to create a game that is combining action packed combat of a top-down MOBA and fast paced theory crafting of the newly emerging roguelite. Thanks to this never seen before combination, every match is unique. After the beta phase, Warforge will always be free-to-play and will be monetized through purchasable character customization. The game will be available for Microsoft Windows.
Four teams of three players fight player-versus-player to dominate the map and ultimately kill the final boss. Unlike other multiplayer online battle arena, there are no lanes for minion waves or turrets. Instead, the map is a sprawling forest and desert filled with dangerous monsters. As the player kills the monsters, they’ll drop chests that present to player gear sets, abilities and perks to choose from. With the number of classes, abilities, upgrades, and gear sets in the game, there are endless possibilities for how Warforge player can build their character each match - thus players will not want to try forcing the same build every game.
