The 2015–16 season is Gateshead's 127th season of existence and their seventh consecutive season in the Conference.[1] Along with competing in the National League, the club will also participate in the FA Cup and FA Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

Pre-season friendlies[edit]

On 4 June 2015, Gateshead announced their first pre-season friendly against Newcastle United.[57] A list of other pre-season games Gateshead have confirmed were added to the fixture list.[58] Gateshead XI sides will face five away pre-season fixtures.[59]
