The 2021–22 season is Wrexham's 157th year in their history and fourteenth consecutive season in National League. Along with the league, the club will also compete in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy.
Manager changes[edit]
On July 1, Phil Parkinson was appointed the clubs new manager on a twelve month rolling contract.[1]
Pre-season friendlies[edit]
Wrexham announced they would have friendlies against Sheffield Wednesday,[2] Burnley U23s,[3] Philadelphia Union,[4] Tamworth,[5] Fleetwood Town[3] and Spennymoor Town[6] as part of their preparations during pre-season.
It was later announced that the club had decided against travelling to the United States due to COVID-19.[7]

On July 7, the club’s league fixtures were released.[10][11]
As Wrexham's first league game was cancelled due to COVID-19 in their oppositions' camp, the league rearranged for the Red Dragons to play Solihull Moors away on the opening day.[12]
