AM Law Firm, (Armenian: Էյ էմ իրավաբանական ընկերություն, AM iravabanakan enkerutyun) is a law firm in Armenia. The firm was created in 2012. It renders legal services to national and international companies, organizations and individuals in all branches of law.
History[edit]
"AM" Law Firm was founded in 2012 in the result of incorporation of 2 large law firms, namely Lex Partners LLC and Defense LLC, which had implemented activity in rendering legal services for more than 10 years.
The managing partner of AM Law Firm is Grigor Minasyan.
The firm has been the host company of Armenian Branch of European Public Law Organization since December 2014.[1][2]
The firm is a member of AEA International Lawyers Network[3]
Activity[edit]
In 2012 the Firm presented the interests of Jazzve LLC in court suit against Burberry Limited company, registered in Great Britain. In the result of the work of attorneys of the Firm the dispute was settled by agreement.[4][5]
In 2013-2014 the Firm presented "Afin Leasing" Austrian Leasing organization in court suit against "Spayka" Armenian company. The court dispute, lasting for 6 years, was settled by agreement in favor of "Afin Lease" organization.[6]
The firm has participated in the discussion of RA Law "On Fake", in legislative draft "On Making Changes And Amendments In The Labor Code Of Republic of Armenia", in draft of RA Law "On Copyright",[7] in elaboration and discussion of constitutionality of legislative draft, concerning maternity benefits, as well as of other drafts.
From 2014 the Firm protects the rights of the head of Forest Control Department of the Ministry Of Nature Protection Armen Lablajyan who was suspected for illegal remuneration. In February 2015 the lawyers of the Firm announced that they will appeal to the European court.[8]
Social activity[edit]
In July 2014 the firm sponsored and provided scholarship to the winner of festival of children's classical music, named "Playing for Change"[9][10]
In October 2014 "AM" law firm organized "How to Reform the Constitution" student contest, during which young legists presented their observations and recommendations, concerning Constitutional reforms.[11][12][13]
