Aashutosh Srivastava[1][2][3] (born 5 October 1982) is an Indian jurist. He is the Advocate to the Supreme Court of India and High Courts across India.[4][5]
Personal life[edit]
Aashutosh Srivastava was born in Gaya to Pramod Kumar Srivastava and Veena Srivastava.
Career[edit]
Srivastava has worked on various cases ranging from company laws, criminal laws, civil laws, properties, arbitration, and many more. He possesses a niche in handling cases related to financial scams, Central Bureau of Investigation, CID, Enforcement Directorate, Economic Offence Wing, NDPS, National Company Law Tribunal, etc.[3]
Aashutosh Srivastava started his career in legal profession by setting up his own law firm viz. A A Associates, Advocates & Legal Advisors having its corporate office in Mumbai, India.
Landmark cases[edit]
Srivastava argued the case representing Deepak Sakharam Kulkarni commonly known as DSK, his wife Hemanti Deepak Kulkarni and the DSK Group of Companies. The allegations of embezzlement of funds levelled against the DSK, Hemanti and his companies are to the tune of INR 2,090 Crores involving the investigation by Economic Offence Wing and Enforcement Directorate. The FIR was registered in and DSK and his wife Hemanti are lodged in Yerawada Central Prison in Pune, India. Srivastava got the Bail of Mrs. Hemanti from Bombay High Court.[6]
Aashutosh Srivastava filed a criminal writ petition before Bombay High Court for CBI/CID investigation of Shijitha Jiji Madhavan who is the daughter of industrialist Sashidharan Nair who had missed from Pune.[7][8][9]
Srivastava recounts to have represented FMCG Companies and got reliefs for them and a very recent against COLGATE PALMOLIVE LTD of USA and INDIA, also representing a case of a well-known Film Producer against actor Sanjay Dutt.[10]
Srivastava have been defending the case of the Chartered Accountant of Geodesic Ltd. in a money laundering case under PMLA.[11][12][13]
Controversy[edit]
Aashutosh Srivastava filed a complaint on Ruby Hall Clinic and one of its doctor alleging negligence and cruelty, leading to the death of his 54-year-old mother under offence of murder with the police station of Koregaon in 2015[14][15]
In the case of 23 years old engineer Juhi Gandhi's death Aashutosh Srivastava represented the Prithviraj Deshmukh and said that this death was accidental which police are established this as a suicide.[16][17]
In Kritika Sharma case Aashutosh Srivastava said that he is positive that justice will prevail for Kritika Sharma in the year 2018.[18]
