Anastasia Maher Qarwani is a Palestinian illustrator and children’s story author. She graduated from the Arab American University with a BA in English and Translation. She has worked at the University's Language Center while studying for her MA in Literature and Intercultural Communication.[1] She has published numerous works in drawing and writing, such as "Rehan and Jinnat al-Ghayyoum", which won the 2012 Al-Awda Award, the only prize awarded in the field of children's literature in Palestine.[2] In 2018, her book, "Koozy", won the Etisalat Award for Arabic Children’s Literature in the production[disambiguation needed] category.[3]
