Angola began to participate at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2019,[1][2] and has competed just once since then.[3]

History[edit]

Although Angola organized Mathematical Olympiads since the 2010s,[4] obtaining excellent results,[5] it was not until 2019 that he entered the International Mathematical Olympiad, following a proposal from RUDN.[6] During the COVID-19 pandemic in Angola, they did not participate, but they are scheduled to participate in 2022.[7]

Angola participates in the Lusophone Olympiad for Portuguese-speaking countries,[8] with Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Sao Tome and Principe.[9] It also participates at the Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad, with 14 other countries.[10] It has no medals no honourable mentions.[11][12]
