Artomatix is an Irish software development company based in Dublin. It is best known for developing the AI assisted material creation software ArtEngine.
History[edit]
Artomatix was founded in March 2014 by Neal O'Gorman (CEO), Eric Risser (CTO), and Barthélémy Kiss (CFO) in Dublin.[1][2] They received €2.1 million in funding by March 2017, which included €1.5 million from the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme, and received a further €2.7 million investment in October 2018.[2][3] By December 2018 they secured another €3.2 million from the Disruptive Tech Innovation Fund and the European Commission's Fast Track to Innovation.[4][5]
In December 2019 it was announced that Artomatix was purchased for up to $60 million, with the buyer revealed to be Unity Technologies in February 2020.[6][7] Unity Technologies officially announced the purchase in a public blog post in March 2020.[8]
