Azhar Iqbal Naazir (Urdu: اظہر ناظؔر‎) (born 12 January 1968 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan) is an Urdu language poet.

Biography

Naazir did his masters in English Literature from Government Gordon College, Rawalpindi in the early Nineties. After a short journalistic career with the Jang group, Farooq Azam (former Resident Editor Daily Jang), he started a banking career in 1995 after qualifying through the Pakistan Banking & Finance Services' Commission Competitive Exams and kept writing Urdu poetry as a passion for his readers/fans during his service too. During his Banking Career as an Executive, he also served as Manager, NBP Tokyo, Japan for over three years. His wife, Noureen Azhar, has also been an ex Civil Servant of Pakistan Superior Services from the 28th Common (Customs Group). He had the chance to visit and stay in Australia, USA, and UK along with his family. *Rakht-e-Safar* (Kuliat) is a book containing his to date important and notable verses, which includes over 1700 *fardiat*, above 60 *Ghazals*, and over 40 Poems which was published by Romail Publications, Rawalpindi, Pakistan against a Pak based ISBN NO. *Rakht-e-Safar* has also been published by International Publishers and is available both in the form of E-Book & Paper Back printed version at all the important International Book Stores online & in hard copy. Azhar Naazir is a remarkable name among contemporary Urdu Poets who write modern Urdu Poetry with a fan base all over the World. He has also written books in English for his international readers with his actual name, i.e., Azhar Iqbal.
