Amarendra Baahubali (also known as Baahubali) is a fictional character of the two-part epic historical fiction film of the same name written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by Arka Media Works. The character was created by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad and was portrayed by Prabhas. The character first appeared in 2015 in The Beginning and later in The Conclusion (2017).
Character biography[edit]
Prince Amarendra Baahubali was born in Mahishmati. His mother (the then Queen) died while giving birth to him. He was named "Baahubali" by his aunt Raajmata Sivagami Devi, who later became his foster mother and raised him.[1]
