Tyler Sechrest[1] (born July 21, 1994), professionally known as Big Bruno[1] (also known as Big Bruno Beats), is an American record producer from Lewisburg, Tennessee.[2] He is best known for his style of producing hip hop instrumentals for the online independent music industry. He is also known for his use of a non-professional Digital Audio Workstation, Garageband[3] as his primary software.
Early life
Tyler Sechrest was born on July 21, 1994, in Brunswick County, North Carolina.[4] He then moved to Lewisburg, Tennessee and has since resided. In the early 2000s, he was introduced to Hip hop music via 106 & Park, as it remained his only way of discovering new music.[5] He attended Marshall County High School.[6] After hearing a classmate's mixtape in high school, Bruno began producing and experimenting with beats in 2011.[1] It was shortly after that he discovered Garageband on his MacBook Pro and began to grow with the Digital Audio Workstation.[3] Since then, he has used Social Media, mostly Twitter, in aiding his worldwide growth.[4] Big Bruno graduated from Columbia State Community College with his Associate degree in Mass Communications. He currently attends MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University) working towards his Bachelor's Degree in Audio Production.[7]
Influences
Big Bruno has stated that some of his main influences of his music come from Kanye West, Three 6 Mafia, Outkast, and Scott Storch.[8] His new school influences however come from producers Lex Luger (record producer) and Johnny Juliano[9]
