Early life[edit]
Chen-K is the son of a Pakistani father and Canadian mother. His parents divorced when Chen-K was two and a half years old, at which time Chen-K moved from Canada to Pakistan. His father later remarried in Pakistan. Chen-K started his rap career in 2015.[2]
Rapping Career[edit]
Chen-K is a Pakistani rapper, music composer, songwriter, and video director. He is a well-known personality in Pakistan and India.[citation needed] His birth name is Nadir Chen Siddiqui, and Chen-K is his stage name. Chen-K is the first-ever pure Urdu Rapper/Poetic rapper in Asia.[citation needed] His songs Qaum Tabah Hai (2019), Asli Hip Hop (2019), Ladki (2017), Pakistan (2018), Wesa Beta (2016), Class Mein (2016), Badtameez (2016), and Kaam Haraam (2016) have gone viral.[citation needed] He launched his new latest rap music on Youtube as well as on all international music stores.[2] Chen k is known for his Urdu poetry rap and storytelling with his unique deep voice tone and flow.[citation needed] His lyrics focus on social issues and his life story. He dropped a music video called Raftaar when he was struggling,[clarification needed] and after that he was appointed as The fastest rap of Pakistan and India till date[3] because he delivered 680 words in 4 minutes, and 59 words in 10 seconds[3]. He was involved in the diss game too with his track ASLI HIP HOP where he dissed famous commercial rap artists.[4] He directly dissed some Indians such as Hindustani Bhau, Arnab Goswami, Raftar and Krishna. His strict career rules and loyalty with his art have inspired controversy.[5] He made diss tracks about Honey Singh, Badshah, Raftaar, divine, Ikka Singh, and many more who he felt were promoting sex and alcohol.[5] In an interview for International Music Magazine he discussed his problems with people in the music and film industry saying,
I want to be really honest here; PEOPLE IN THIS INDUSTRY ARE STUPID AS FUCK. Yes I won't say everyone but most of them yes they are stupid and annoying. In the beginning people didn't pay me for my work, they used my talent, I was a new kid in town so obviously I didn't know the rules. I was disappointed many time that I cannot even count but that made me what I am now and I am really proud of it. Till now I am facing problems with people in this industry because I am a person who makes his own rules and this industry as well as society wants a person to follow their rules which I won't. By the help of Allah and my hard work I will reach wherever I want to.[6]
