Early life and education[edit]

A native of California, Tiongson was initially played hockey in his youth until he was 12 or 13 years old before switching to playing basketball due to the steep expenses involved in playing hockey. He played basketball for his high school's team standing 5'2" as a freshman.He became a starter mid-season on his first season.[1]

when he started college he was already 5'10" tall. He attended Citrus Junior College then moved to Utah Valley University where he redshirted for a season before moving to Biola University. He secured full scholarship at Biola in his junior year. At this time he is already 6'4". He peaked on his senior year where he average averaged 13.2 points and 6.2 rebounds, named to the All-Conference team and the NAIA All-American as an honorable mention.[1]

Professional career[edit]

After playing for Biola, Tiongson participated at the 2016 NBA draft but was not drafted by a team.[2] He made his professional debut with the Chong Son Kung Fu of the ASEAN Basketball League.[1]
