Chadwick Pelletier (born September 25, 1973), is an American-Canadian screenwriter, entrepreneur, and founder and CEO at DaVinci International Film Festival.

Early life

Pelletier was born to American-Canadian parents in Denver, Colorado before relocating to Steamboat Springs, Colorado where he grew up as a competitive downhill ski racer with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club[1] and Martial Artist, earning his Black Belt from the Kukkiwon in Seoul, Korea.[2] Before turning to the entertainment industry, Pelletier studied at the University of Colorado, Boulder and later transferred to Harvard University where he graduated cum laude[3] with a concentration in Psychology.[4][5] After graduation, Pelletier moved to Los Angeles, California in 1998 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Film and television

Pelletier's Hollywood career began as a voice-over artist for DIC Entertainment's Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, which Taft-Hartley him in the the Screen Actors Guild. Between 1998 and 2002, Pelletier appeared on prime time television shows Brotherly Love (1995 TV series), Beverly Hills 90210, the Cosby Show, and The Agency (2001 TV series). In 1998, he was cast as a member of MTV's Reality TV show Road Rules: Down Under.

In 2004, Pelletier formed an independent film production company to produce short films for the film festival circuit, and from 2004 to 2017, he wrote and directed a number of films including his 2015 Western, For Blood, that won the Kumeyaay Award at the San Diego International Film Festival.

In 2008-2009, Pelletier was hired to write and produce Reality TV for Gurney Productions, delivering shows to Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Spike TV, and A&E Networks.[6] Pelletier launched Veritas Film & Television after his work in unscripted television, where he developed TV content and feature film screenplays as a member of the Writers Guild of America.[7]

In 2017, Pelletier won two Red Poppy Awards from the Veterans Film Festival[8] for his work on She Will Be Loved, which partnered with the CIA Officers Memorial Foundation and Shadow Warriors Project to bring awareness to wartime PTSD.[9]

Entrepreneurship

In 2005, Pelletier formed CoffeeRing Entertainment as an independent film company to produce his first short film and music video The Gunslinger at the Movie Ranch. In 2009, he launched Veritas Film & Television, as a multi-media creative development company to produced scripted and unscripted content for networks and production partners.[10]. From 2007 to 2009, Pelletier developed, wrote, and produced unscripted Reality TV for network and cable television for the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, History (American TV network), Spike TV, and A&E Networks.[11][12]

DaVinci International Film Festival

In 2017, Pelletier founded the DaVinci International Film Festival which was awarded Top 100 Best Reviewed its inaugural year on the FilmFreeway platform.[13] Pelletier is the Chairman and CEO[14] of the festival that is hosted at AMC Theatres, The Grove at Farmers Market in Los Angeles, California annually and produced by nonprofit 501(c)3, DaVinci Film Foundation, Inc.[15]

CyberBit Entertainment

In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pelletier published two NFT projects under Trade name CyberBit Entertainment[16] to include Famously Wrecked which portrayed public domain celebrity mugshots in transformative use, leveraging the First Amendment[17], and an NFT Metaverse project introduced at DaVinci International Film Festival's 5th Annual as part of a Digital Hollywood program[18], called BountySquad. A digital asset based on Pelletier's intellectual property and short film, For Blood.

Wickster Media Inc.

In 2022, Pelletier launched Wickster as a Global Creative & Media Agency to develop and manage Museq City[19] as an apparel e-commerce brand company for Nashville, Tennessee.[20] and JustWrite Coffee Company[21], in partnership with Pelletier's film festival DaVinci International Film Festival.
