Choice Cuts, Volume I is a live release by the John Spignesi Band. It was recorded during the Summer of 2022 at various shows during JSB's Summer Tour.
Background
Inspired by Dick's Picks from the Grateful Dead, Spignesi wanted to get in the habit of releasing more of the band's live music online. The Summer Tour was a sixteen-date, six-city regional tour with numerous stops in Massachusetts, Maine, and many others.
Special Guests
Three special guests make an appearance on this release. On the tracks "Beautiful Dream" & "Growing Pains" Mark Mercier (Max Creek) and Ryan Lizotte are featured on piano and percussion respectively. "Blank Canvas" is an acoustic duo performance from Spignesi & Jeffery with former percussionist and JSB member, Andres Wullaert.
