Matt Alling (born June 25, 1972) is an American musician, specializing on the drums. He has achieved attention with The John Spignesi Band for which he is a founding member.
Career With The John Spignesi Band[edit]
John Spignesi Band (JSB) was formed in 2015 by John Spignesi, Chris Mitchell and Alling. When approached to join, Alling had originally told Spignesi he could not commit, but would fill in when he could. Spignesi ignored Alling and began booking for the band anyway. When John's band Off The Dome disbanded in October 2017, it was Alling who had told Spignesi to invest his heart and soul into JSB. The two agreed and JSB became the full priority.
Matt has performed on Drums with JSB for its entire career. He has played on every studio and live recording the band has released. Known for his aggressive energy, he also sings backing vocals on many JSB original songs. He is the only original member aside from Spignesi himself.
