Comatch is a German-based online marketplace for independent management consultants and industry experts.[1][2]
History[edit]
Comatch was founded in 2014 by former McKinsey consultants, Christoph Hardt and Jan Schächtele with the support of Atlantic Labs.[3][4] In March 2015, Comatch launched its website with its base in Berlin and later opened branches in Amsterdam, Paris, Dubai, UK and other locations.[5][6][7]
In August 2015, Comatch raised its first round of funding led by Atlantic Labs, btov, and other angel investors.[8] In 2016 and 2018, the firm also raised rounds of funding led by Acton Capital Partners, with participation from Atlantic Labs and btov Partners.[9][10][11]
In September 2017, Comatch published a survey titled The DNA of the Independent Consultant.[12] In 2020, the company published a second survey on The DNA of the Independent Consultant, which explained the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on consultants.[13] The company also publishes an annual business magazine called COMAG.[14]
Covid-19 solidarity initiative[edit]
In March 2020, Comatch launched a Covid-19 solidarity initiative, aimed at providing pro-bono consulting services to organisations hard hit by the COVID-19 Pandemic.[15]
