Diaspora Co. is an American spice company selling single-origin spices from India and Sri Lanka.[1][2] The company aims to develop a decolonized spice trade, in which power is transferred to smallholder farmers.[3][4]

Founded in fall 2017 by Mumbai-born Sana Javeri Kadri, Diaspora Co. began selling Pragati Turmeric sourced from Kankipadu, Andhra Pradesh.[5] The company has grown to offer over 30 spices, and claims to offer farmers six time the commodity price for its spices.[6]

In 2022, the company closed a $2.1 million round of financing for expanding supply chains and create a board of advisors.[6]
