The Great Kay Khosrow War (Persian: جنگ بزرگ کیخسرو‎) continued after the end of the Davazdah Rokh war, and it was the last war between the Iranian government and Turan that ultimately led to the complete destruction of the Turan government. The Kay Khosrow was not involved in the Davazdah Rokh war, but in the Great War, Kay Khosrow of the Persian King personally entered the battlefield.[1]

Grea War in the Shahnameh[edit]

The story of the continuation of the previous war was that when all the War and Piran commanders were killed, a message was sent to Afrasiab informing him of the outcome of the battle. Afrasiab came to the river Jihon with a huge army. Upon Afrasiab action, the War commander Iran, Goudarz, became aware of the on and sent a picket Ambassador to Kay Khosrow to inform him of the outcome of the war. Kay Khosrow and many of the military reached the war zone and in this fateful war, the two kings of Iran and Turan are personally observing the war. Afrasiab is also the grandfather of Kay Khosrow.

The warriors of both kings were ready for war, but neither of them launched an attack. Things went on for several days without a fight, until Afrasiab son came to his father to protest why he did not order the attack. Shideh was eager to war with his Iranians on his own and believed he could defeat the Iranians. Kay Khosrow uncle is Shideh and he wants to duel with Kay Khosrow and kill him.

Shideh was the first Turan to be killed by Kay khosrow in a duel, and this war continued for many years until the end of Afrasiab death by Kay khosrow.
