Hardik A Gohel is an Academician and Researcher, and is a United States based computer science researcher in the field of cyber security. Gohel has done investigative study of social media and also identified its security issues. Dr. Hardik has done more than 50 publications in technical journals and proceedings of national and international conferences during his research study.[1][2][3][4][5]
Gohel is the researcher and task leader at Applied Research Center at Florida International University, Miami, Florida, USA. He has written two books titled: 1) Introduction to Network and Cyber Security,[1][6][7][8] and 2) Human Brain Computer Interface (H-BCI).[1][9][10]
Personal life[edit]
Hardik A Gohel was born on October 26, 1986 in Nashik, Maharashtra and brought up in Rajkot, Gujarat. His father , Ashok K Gohel is a businessman in the field of Indian traditional fashion designing. His mother, Chhaya A. Gohel, is a homemaker and also supported to his father in business.
Education[edit]
Gohel has under graduated from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India and graduated from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidhayanagar, Gujarat, India with Computer Application in 2009. He has received his PhD in Computer Science from Hertfordshire in 2015.[1][11]
Research Portfolio[edit]
Gohel is a task lead on the United States Department of Defense (US DOD) – Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) funded memory foresic project. It is about the hypervisor research to improve cyberspace monitoring[disambiguation needed] and analysis. This research includes virtualization, visualization and advanced machine learning analysis techniques. Gohel has investigated on Linux kernel data structures and malware analysis.[1][2][3][4]
Gohel has certifications in Cyberoam Certified Network & Security Professional-CCNS, Network & Cloud Security by IEEE, Wired & Wireless Networking using NS2 by IEEE Computer Society and Data Analysis using R.[1]
Gohel is also a professional and life member of various technical bodies includes Computer Society of India (CSI), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), Computer Science Teacher Association (CSTA), Internet of Society, International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT) Singapore, International Association of Engineers (IAENG).[1]
Gohel has been invited to deliver keynote addresses and to chair sessions at many technical conferences on thrust areas includes social engineering, investigator study of social media and its security, Linux Desktop Environment (KDE-GNOME) and Web Intelligence and Internet Security[12][11][13][14]
CSI Contribution[edit]
Gohel is a founder[disambiguation needed] secretary of Computer Society of India, Rajkot Chapter,[15] He has initiated to get professional members from Rajkot rigion and started chapter with 90 professional and corporate members. He has conducted various technical programs and knowledge forum session during his two years of journey as a secretory.
Gohel has also contributed in CSI National activities. He has participated as a committee in CSI-2015,[12][13] the Golden Jubilee year of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and the 50th Annual Convention. Hardik has contributed cover stories[disambiguation needed],[16][17][18][19] technical trends[20][21] and security corner[22] articles[disambiguation needed] in Computer Society of India Communication (CSIC) - the monthly mouthpiece of Computer Society of India. He has also recognized by CSI in the category of youngest faculty with highest publication in CSIC in the year of 2015[1][2][3][4][23][24]
Awards & Honors[edit]
Gohel has received One National Award from Computer Society of India(CSI) in the category of academic excellence in 2015 and two international awards for the best research paper in international conferences held in Malaysia and Thailand.[1][2][3][4][23]
