Jasmine Concrete Exports Private Limited[1] (also known as Jasmine) is an Indian flower extraction firm, India’s largest producer of Value added spice extracts, essential oils, Flavours & Fragrance in a joint ventures with Firmenich International SA.[2][3] Jasmine is the leading suppliers of floral absolutes to the fragrance Industry and the Firmenich Group to create innovative scents[4]. The company is run by founder's son Vasanth Kumar Venkatasamy, who is the current Managing Director of the company[5]. Jasmine has its footprints in India, Singapore, China, USA, Brazil, Europe, Australia and Middle East. The company headquarters is in Chennai. Jasmine directly employs 500+ people and support farmer community of around 3000 and above.

History and Growth of Jasmine[edit]

1991[edit]

The company was established on 03 June, 1991[5]. It was founded by Alambadi K Venkatasamy. Initially it produce floral extract[6] from Sambac, Grandiflora and rose before entering into organic oil market such as Davana, Vetiver, Eucalyptus, fenugreek seed, lemongrass, Palmarosa, Kewda and Cardamom.

1992[edit]

Jasmine setup its first concrete and essential oil production unit in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

1994[edit]

Jasmine's first Absolute plant was setup in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

2002[edit]

New unit of Jasmine was setup in Dindigul for production of concrete and essential oil.

2003[edit]

Jasmine started the production of oleoresin and extracts for the flavour industry.

2011[edit]

Jasmine setup India's largest Absolute plant at Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu.

2014[edit]

Strategic joint venture between Jasmine and Firmenich.[7][8]

2017[edit]

Jasmine central laboratory for analytics was setup in its headquarter at Chennai.

2020[edit]

Super critical extraction facility was setup at Dindigul.
