Jhonny A. Salomon (M.D., F.A.C.S., ABPS, ASPS, AMA) (born October 24, 1967) is a Haitian Lebanese plastic surgeon from Port-au-Prince, Haiti.[1][2][3] [4] Salomon specializes in non-invasive and invasive surgical procedures of the face and body.[5][6][7]
Early life[edit]
Jhonny Salomon was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. and attended St. Louis de Gonzague Jesuit School from 1st - 12th grade, remaining at the top of his class throughout. At the age of 17, Jhonny moved to Boston, Massachusetts to attend Boston University.[4]
Education[edit]
Dr. Salomon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Science. During his undergraduate studies, he was named Latin American Scholar; His consistent nomination to the Dean’s List earned him an early acceptance in Medical School through the Modular Medical Integrated Curriculum. In 1991 he received a Doctorate of Medicine from Boston University where he was awarded a grant from the School of Medicine and was pledged in the Honor Medical Society.[4]
His general surgery residency was served at the University of Connecticut where he received a Degree in Categorical General Surgery in 1995. He was a resident in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island from 1995 to 1997. He was then granted a fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas, Texas in 1997 and 1998. Dr. Salomon has been Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery since 1999.[1]
Dr. Salomon has a degree from La Universidad de Aquino (Udabol) Bolivia, Doctor Honoris.[8]
Membership in professional societies[edit]
Dr. Salomon is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida and in the state of New York. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of the journal “Selected Readings in Plastic Surgery” since 1997. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 10 a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Greater Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Dade Medical Society. Dr. Salomon has been board certified in Plastic surgery since 1999.[9]
Hospital affiliations[edit]
Dr. Salomon is a member of the staff at South Miami Hospital located in South Miami, Florida. South Miami Hospital is one of the hospitals of the Baptist Health System network. In 2013, Dr. Salomon became one of the founding members of the Baptist Hospital Founders Society11. The founders’ society consists of leaders and visionaries whose generous gifts are invested in the future of healthcare.
