Kamaluddin Nurdin Marjuni(Arabic: كمال الدين نور الدين مرجوني, romanized: Marjūnī, Kamāl al-Dīn Nūr al-Dīn;) born 1973, is a Professor/Member of Senate at Académie Européenne des Cultures et des Savoirs Islamiques (AECSI), Paris, France..[1] and an Associate Professor at Akidah and Religion Studies, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia,(USIM).[2]

Biography[edit]
Early Life[edit]
Kamaluddin Nurdin Marjuni was born on 11 June, 1973 in Soppeng, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia[4]to Nurdin Marjuni and Munawwarah Rauf. Both of his parents are Buginese. His father, Nurdin Marjuni is the founder of Mahad Syawarifiah[5]. Since a very young age, he started memorizing Al-Quran guided by his father, an alumnus of Pesantren Assa'diyya in South Sulawesi.[6]
Education[edit]
On 1997, Kamal finished his degree in sharia from Al-Azhar University. Kamal decided to continue his Master in one of Islamic faculty at Cairo University, Dar al-Ulum. (Arabic: كلية دار العلوم, kullīya dār al-ʿulūm), majoring in Islamic Philosophy. There, he completed his Master and Ph.D..[6]His dissertation titled “موقف الزيدية وأهل السنة من العقيدة الإسماعيلية وفلسفتها" (Theological Positions of Shia Zaydiya and Sunni Scholars Against the Shia Isma'iliyah Doctrines and Philosophies) guided by Prof. Galayand, was published by Darul Kutub ilmiah publisher, Beirut-lebanon[7]. He then graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned his doctorate in Islamic Theology on 2005[8]
Career[edit]
In April 2007, Kamal was assigned as a lecturer in the Akidah and Religion faculty at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. He was entrusted to posisitons as a Head of Department for Akidah and Religion program in 2014; and Da'wah and Management program in 2016. He then appointed as an Associate Professor in December 2012.
Kamal is frequently invited as a keynote speaker for international confrence, such as at International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan[9], Marmara University; Turkey[10], Cairo University ,and Muslim World League; Saudi Arabia, as an expert in Islamic Theology[4]. In Malaysia, he was invited as a Visiting Professor by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2016[11][12]
