Onyido Nkemjika (born May 1, 1990), who's stage name is Ketchup,[1] is a Dancehall, artist and songwriter under the stables of 606 music. He grew up in the suburb of Lagos State. Inspired fro childhood by the likes of Ebenezer Obey, Shina Peters, Bob Marley, Chaka Demus and a host of others.
Early life and education[edit]
Ketchup attended St Leos School in Lagos State and, Federal Government College Lagos, He spent some time in the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University after which he transferred to th Atlantic College, KL Malaysia where he bagged a B.Sc in Mass Communication. His singing prowess which had been horned over the years pushed him to record his 1st single titled Nuvo featuring U.K Disc Jockey “DJ jam jam [2]
Career[edit]
In 2012,He came to Nigeria and released another single, On The Beat” featuring Rayce in 2012.[3] During this time, he met the talented producer, ‘EmmyACE’ and together, they created a new direction for Ketchup’s music and released the club banger, Show Me Yuh Rozay
