Turkey

Kiribati and Turkey have formal diplomatic relations. The Turkish ambassador in Canberra, Australia is also accredited to Kiribati.[1]

Diplomatic Relations[edit]

Turkey recognizes the importance of the vast Kiribati EEZ and especially Kiribati’s Christmas Island, which is the biggest atoll in the world.[2] Turkey recently expressed concern when an Australian crew investigating Chinese influence was placed under house arrest before being expelled from the country.[3]
