Saint Kitts and Nevis–Turkey relations are foreign relations between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Turkey.
The Turkish ambassador in Santo Domingo[1] is also accredited to St. Kitts and Nevis. Turkey has an Honorary Consulate General[2] in Basseterre.
Historical Relations[edit]
Following the full independence[3] of Saint Kitts and Nevis in 1983, the government concentrated on the prospect of attracting foreign aid from sources besides Britain[4] and the Commonwealth that had historically[5] provided aid. It was within this context that the PAM– and NRP– governments, established[6] an aid program with Turkey. Part of this aid contributed to the South East Peninsula Road[7] that would improve the tourism infrastructure to the peninsula of St. Kitts that has many accessible beaches.
