KRAFTBLOCK was found and filed under NEBUMA - it has been rebranded in 2018.
KRAFTBLOCK storage systems support the global energy transition in a special way. The high-temperature storage systems can store thermal energy up to 1300°C and are thus designed for decarbonization of industrial processes in the steel industry, metal-producing industry, glass industry, ceramics industry and several other sectors. By using power-to-heat systems, the storage systems can also be charged with renewable electricity, which then goes into sector coupling (application: district heating networks, process heat, process cooling). Through this combination of technologies, green power can also decarbonize thermal industrial processes.
Products[edit]
- The core product is a newly developed high-temperature heat accumulator. The storage material was developed and optimized for the application. It consists of up to 85% recycled materials and can be recycled again at the end of its life.
- The storage material can take temperatures up to 1300°C (sensible heat storage material)
- The storage itself is modular and based on 10Feet and 20Feet container units.
- According to the company, the storage modules can be interconnected to form large-scale storage systems.
