Kraftly is an Indian e-commerce platform that specializes in the buying and selling of unique products and brands. It is a mobile and online marketplace that targets micro and individual seller communities in India.[1] The company’s headquarters is based in Saidulajab, Saket, New Delhi.
Overview
Kraftly caters to the huge segment of over 50 million ‘homepreneurs’, artisans, and flea market sellers in India that offer eclectic products available only offline. Kraftly, incubated by KartRocket, aims to bridge this gap for home-preneurs by rolling out the country’s first mobile C2C platform. Kraftly has a 25,000-seller base and aims to reach two lakh sellers in the next 12 months.[2] Kraftly acts as a complete solution for this segment. The company enables individuals, hobby sellers, and shop owners to create their own branded micro-shops, list their products, and receive payments on the go, all without paperwork. The company manages the complete payment and logistics process for each seller, allowing the long tail of small and home sellers to go online. Buyers can discover unique products in a personalized manner and directly interact with sellers.
History
Founded and launched in August 2015,[3] Kraftly has blossomed into one of the leading e-commerce platforms for unique, hand-curated products, encouraging and promoting small sellers.[4] The company is the brainchild of Big Foot Retail Solution Pvt. Ltd.
Management
The company’s main management comprises Co-founder and CEO, Saahil Goel, instrumental in facilitating the organization’s day-to-day activities. Saahil’s career spans working as a systems architect, management consultant, project manager, and technical analyst at various large companies in India and the US. Vishesh Khurana serves as the company’s Director, with expertise in last-mile logistics and e-commerce. He has co-founded various start-ups, namely Mobiz Infotech and Status Stores. Gautam Kapoor is the Chief Operating Officer of Kartrocket, with experience in logistics, B2B sales, and industrial automation. Prior to this, he ran a large-scale industrial products distribution for over 6 years. Ankit Sood is the Chief Financial Advisor for the company’s consumer-to-consumer marketplace for homepreneurs. Before this, Ankit joined Citi as a Senior Summer Associate – Investment Banking.[5] He was the Associate Vice President for Anand Rathi Private Wealth Ltd. from May 2008–July 2011 and for Avendus Advisors from June 2011–August 2014. Akshay Gulati is the Chief Business Officer of the start-up.[6] Prior to this, he was the Head of Trade-In at Amazon, UK, and previously worked in different roles in Amazon’s retail and marketplace businesses. He has also worked with Smile Group, overseeing various portfolio companies. Before his shift to digital commerce, he worked as a management consultant with The Parthenon Group and A.T. Kearney. The organization recently hired Gaurav Gupta[7] as its Chief Technology Officer.[8] Gaurav was the CTO at e-commerce firm Freecultr. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, with 13 years of experience in open-source application and development. The company has also appointed the associate director of marketing development at Snapdeal, Rajeev Singh, as the VP of the seller ecosystem.[9]
