Kryptex is a company specializing in the development of software for cryptocurrency mining. It provides mining pools, mining applications, firmware, tools, and educational resources for miners. The company was founded in August 2016 by Max Malysh and operates internationally[1][2].

History

In August 2016, Max Malysh founded Kryptex with the goal of making cryptocurrency mining accessible to a wide audience. The company launched the Kryptex Miner application for Windows, allowing users to earn cryptocurrency by utilizing their computers' processing power. Kryptex aggregates the resources of thousands of personal computers to perform complex distributed computations, rewarding users based on the performance of their CPU and GPU[3].

Since its inception, the company has expanded its service offerings, introducing Kryptex Pro — an advanced version of its software aimed at professional miners. It also launched a mobile app for real-time income tracking.

In April 2020, the company launched a public Ethereum mining pool, which became one of the largest Ethereum producers before the network transitioned to Proof-of-Stake (PoS). In August 2021, Kryptex Pool successfully mined a block containing the London Hardfork (EIP-1559)[4].

In February 2024, Kryptex Pool transitioned from supporting exclusively GPU mining to launching ASIC mining for major PoW cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Litecoin. Kryptex Pool also became the largest pool for mining Fractal Bitcoin[5].

Business model

In return for providing this service, Kryptex takes a percentage or a fee from miners.
