Leena AI Inc. is an American SaaS company, providing autonomous conversational AI for companies' internal employees.[2]

History

Leena AI was founded in 2018 by IIT Delhi engineering graduates[1] Adit Jain, Mayank Goyal, and Anand Prajapati.[3] Initially, the company focused on building virtual assistant chatbots to help process employees' human resources needs,[4] and later expanded into a broader HR service delivery platform, built and trained using the information in policy documents and by pulling data from back-end systems.[5]

In 2018, following a round at Y Combinator, Leena AI raised $2 million in a seed funding from several Silicon Valley angel investors.[1][6] In November 2020, in raised $8 million in Series A round, led by Greycroft.[7][8][9] In September 2021, the company raised $30 million in a Series B funding round,[10] with investments from Bessemer Venture Partners, B Capital and Greycroft.[11][12][13] Subsequently, the company expanded to cross-enterprise service delivery platforms, mainly IT and finance, to cover full employee enterprise systems.[14]

Leena AI is reportedly used by over 3 million employees across 60 countries from 300+ enterprises, including Nestle, Puma, Coca-Cola, Sony, Vodafone, and Puma[15][16] In March and May 2025, Leena AI was named a Leader in the Gartner Emerging Market and AI Knowledge reports.[17]

The company is headquartered in New York, with additional offices in New Delhi, Bangalore, and Palo Alto.[18][19]
