Maalan Narayanan is a journalist from Tamil Nadu, India. He is a member of the Tamil language Advisory Board for of Sahitya Akademi,[1] the Board of Studies for Tamil Literature of University of Madras, the Commonwealth Journalists Association, and the South Asian Literary Association.[citation needed] He was the editor of Puthiya Thalaimurai[2][3] and Puthiya Thalaimurai Kalvi, as well as the Director of Planning and Development for the Puthiya Thalaimurai TV channel.[citation needed]

He was born in Madurai and went to Sethupathi Higher Secondary School.[4][unreliable source?]
