Manish Kr Jha (born 16 January 1978) is a famous media personality of India.

Chief marketing officer at PJP Group (Prakash Jha Productions, P& M Infrastructure Ltd., Vijayatej Clarksinn, PJP Cinepolis Cinema), Mumbai, Delhi, Noida & Patna since January 2015. Mr. Jha is the founder of Maurya News, a Digital Venture, in 2013. The concept behind Maurya News was by renowned filmmaker Prakash Jha. It has content from all fields of life whether it's about daily news of Bihar or Jharkhand or news of national interest. The content is a mix of news and infotainment. The flagship programs produced by Maurya News are "Aapki Baat" and "KISSA" which features eminent journalist Anuranjan Jha. He has been in media for more than 15 years in various capacities for major channels of India. Previously, he was associated with K News, where he helped the news channel in acquiring corporate level client base. He has established Maurya Tv channel, but later he sold the contract to Zee. He has a keen interest in technology and the IT industry. He thinks that the IT field has changed the thinking perspective of the world and has started a new era of IT. He has the expertise in Business development, Film Integration, Channel distribution, Digital marketing, Launching Channel, Concept Development and Branding Strategies. Biography

Early Life and education

Manish Kr Jha was born in Bettiah ( West Champaran) and was raised at his family's farm in Barharwa, Bettiah, West Champaran, Bihar, India.

His father's name is Shri V.K.Jha, retired Asst Director at Intelligence Bureau. He did his early schooling from Saraswati Shishu Mandir at Banda, U.P. later he appeared for the competitive exam of Navodaya Vidyalaya in year 1989 and got admitted at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bettiah. He did his graduation in Economics from A.N.Collage, Patna, Bihar. Later he decided to go to Mumbai to join his uncle at Bombay who is into film making Mr Prakash Jha.

In Mumbai he worked with Prakash Jha and assisted him on 2 projects, Mrityudand and Rahul. In film Rahul he was the second assistant director, the film featured Yash Pathak, Tanvi Hegde, Neha, Jatin Garewal, Rajeshwari Sachdev and Gulshan Grover in lead roles. The film was produced by Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts. Manish also worked with Subhash Ghai in his film Yaadein which had Hritik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.

After leaving Mumbai in April 2002 he did his Post graduation, MBA in Marketing at Institute of Productivity & Management, Ghaziabad, UP.

Career

Mr. Jha started his career by joining Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd. as a Branch Manager just after completing his PGDBM in January 2004. He worked progressively for 3.5 years and achieved huge success in the company. After working with the previous company, Mr. Jha joined NEWS 24 as a Senior Manager in Marketing & Distribution for North India. He was proficient in his work profile at NEWS 24 & gave a lot of benefits to the company. Having such expertise in the media industry, Mr. Jha joined DEN Networks Limited as an AGM (North India) in CAS/Digital marketing profile. Mr. Manish Kr Jha, in May 2010, founded Maurya Tv Pvt. Ltd., a news media channel having its headquarter in Patna and had service area for Bihar & Jharkhand. Mr. Jha meticulously monitored the team of distribution covering almost 100% of Bihar and Jharkhand. He entrenched business association with agencies for getting consistent business from key cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore. He had a pivotal role in grabbing annual deals with corporates like ITC, Bajaj Allianz, Sony, etc. Mr. Jha inaugurated business ties with MSOs for spreading the footprints of the channel in UP to create an edge over the competitors. He got the channel empaneled for DAVP and other states like UP and Uttarakhand in addition to Bihar & Jharkhand. Later he sold the channel and its rights to Zee. After 10 years of expertise in the media industry, Mr. Jha joined K NEWS as the COO of the company. There he led the Sales & Marketing team & acquired the corporate level client base in a short tenure. There he successfully established content sharing agreement with channels at Delhi. Currently, Mr. Manish Kr Jha is the chief marketing officer of P&M Infrastructure Ltd., where he spearheading the marketing team, performs Marketing of Films of the production house. He is responsible for the planning and execution of promotional activities at Mall to gain maximum audience engagements. He has established strategic and careful Tie-ups for Film Integration to ensure greater returns at a lower distribution cost. Mr. Jha deals with Print media/ E Media for branding at physical (Malls/Cineplex’s/public places) as well as virtual location (Digital/Online). Mr. Jha oversees overall Media planning, verifies and processes Co-Branding or Branding deals for films and took initiatives to enhance digital visibility.

Social Initiatives

For the last few years Manish kr jha has been involved with development initiatives in Bihar. He has been part of social works through the NGO Anubhooti.

Mr. Manish Jha has a keen interest in the Bollywood. He has invested his maximum amount of time in Bollywood's production house. He has worked in Business development, Film Integration, Channel distribution, Digital marketing, Launching Channel, Concept Development and Branding Strategies. His Uncle, Mr. Prakash Jha, is an Indian film producer, actor, director and screenwriter, mostly known for his political and socio-political films such as Damul, Mrityudand, Gangaajal, Apaharan, including multistarrer hit movies Raajneeti, Aarakshan, Chakravyuh and Satyagraha. He is also the maker of National Film Award winning documentaries like, Faces After The Storm and Sonal. He runs a production company, Prakash Jha Productions. He also owns the P&M Mall in Patna and the P&M Hi-Tech Mall in Jamshedpur.
