Manoj Tibrewal Aakash (born 30 September 1980) is an Indian TV anchor and journalist.[1][2][3] Tibrewal was associated with Doordarshan News for a decade (2006 to 2015) as a prime time Television News Anchor and Senior Correspondent. He is the host of the popular talk show, Ek Mulaqat.[4][5]

He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief[6] of Dynamite News.

Career[edit]

Aakash started his career with India Today magazine.[1][7] Later, he joined The Indian Express Group as Bureau Chief in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh.[1][7] He then entered in television journalism and joined Doordarshan News in New Delhi in January 2006.[1][7] He quit Doordarshan News to start his own media group[8], Dynamite News.

He hosted the popular interview-based talk show, Ek Mulaqat on DD News.[5] He was the first to interview India's first women President, Pratibha Patil in July 2007, soon after her election.[1]

Awards[edit]

He was awarded The Kulapati K. M. Munshi Award on 29 July 2017[9][10] by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan for his contribution in the field of Journalism.
