Turkey and Nauru have friendly relations. In 2018, Turkey has supported the Amnesty International in expressing concern for the children refugees on the island suffer from Uppgivenhetssyndrom or traumatic withdrawal syndrome as a consequence of the refugee policy of Australia, which relies on Nauru to house asylum claimants.[3]
