About
Mangla Chemicals Ltd was incorporated on November 29, 1985 as an internet service provider. In 2001, the company renamed to Net 4 India Ltd, and finally to Net4 in 2011. Net4 was an ICANN accredited Domain name registrar and remains a .IN accredited Domain name registrar. It has 7 Internet Data Centers (IDCs) and 15 Network Points of Presence across India. Net4 manages a VoIP/ SIP infrastructure in India, US and Singapore.[citation needed]

Controversy
The Service Tax department arrested the company's Managing Director, Jasjit Singh Sawhney, for non-payment of Rs 9 crore on August 30 for pending liability for the financial year 2012–13. The liability had been collected by the company from its clients as service tax to be paid to the government exchequer.[5][6]
ICANN issued a third breach notice to Net4 India to take steps to protect Registrants.[7] The notice addressed RAA violations mentioned in a complaint submitted by ICANN. By September 30, 2020, more than 400 complaints were filed against Net4 India Limited by third parties, and ICANN monitored the situation. On February 26, 2021, ICANN terminated Net 4 India's registrar accreditation.[8]
Investor
California-based Granite Hill Capital Partners, LLC, invested Rs 8 Cr in the company in May 2010, to be utilized for its expansion in its data centre services and connectivity services to set up a 30,000 sq ft data centre in Chennai.
