Mr. Gokulanathan Ponnusamy launched"Nithra Apps India Private Limited", which was founded in 26 July,2013.Mr. Gokulanathan Ponnusamy also launched "Nithra Solar Powwer India Private Limited".[2] The business was first known as Nithra Edu Solution India Private Limited in 2012, and then it evolved into Nithra Apps in 2013.[3] The business originally released an English dictionary app under the name "bharath dictionary". And later, developed many applications. Currently, the company has millions of active users across 120 apps in 6 languages(Engilsh,Tamil,Hindi,Telugu,Malayalam & Kannada).

Despite the fact that we have 90 apps, Nithra is more well-known for its Nithra Tamil calendar, Diya stores, Nithra mana malai (Nithra matrimony), Nithra jobs.
- The Nithra Tamil calendar[4] serves as the best Tamil calendar app in Tamil Nadu. There are details about all religions, holidays, and every type of horoscope.
- The Diya stores app offers the user pooja accessories, devotional books,devotional pooja utensils, rudraksha's, chakras, pooja clothing and dhotis, Japa malai, and many other pooja-related items.
