Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA) also known as PWA Australia is an Australian independent professional wrestling promotion founded in 2007 by Ryan Eagles and Madison Eagles in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia,[1][2] with a subsidiary company based in Newcastle New South Wales known as Newcastle Pro Wrestling.[3]
History[edit]
Initially founded as Pro Wrestling Alliance Australia, PWA was originally a family friendly promotion. In 2018 the company moved all of its shows to the Max Watts music venue in the Moore Park entertainment complex. With this the company adapted a rebranding of the company and its shows under the name PWA: The Black Label [4] all shows became 18 plus. In 2019 the company readded family friendly shows with Pro Wrestling Academy and went back to its roots by running pubs and clubs for 18 plus Pro Wrestling Academy shows branded as Green Label.[citation needed]
As of August 2014 Global Force Wrestling announced working agreements with PWA Australia and Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance.[5] and in 2018 announced working agreements with Progress Wrestling.[6][7]
Pro Wrestling Academy is the Professional Wrestling school in Chipping Norton, New South Wales directly associated with PWA, the academy is led by Head Coaches Madison Eagles, Robbie Eagles, and Mick Moretti.[8]

PWWA Championship[edit]
The PWWA Championship is a professional wrestling championship in Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance. It is competed for in Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance, and has been defended on shows of sister promotion PWA. Championship reigns are determined by professional wrestling matches, in which competitors are involved in scripted rivalries. These narratives create feuds between the various competitors, which cast them as villains and heroines.
