Qaragüney necropolis— is located on the north-west of Germechatag village of Shahbuz district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, on the slope of the hill. V.B. Bakhshaliyev conducted research here. According to him, some of the graves were discovered as a result of flooding. They consist of stone box-type tombs oriented in different directions. The tombs were built of flat pebbles and covered with stones of the same type. During the investigation, several pink ceramic pieces of the Late Antiquity were found in the necropolis. Based on the discovered archeological materials, the necropolis can be dated to I B.C -II A.D centuries.[1] This necropolis is important for the study of antiquity in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus.
