A Queen Mary cocktail is a mixture of grenadine and beer.[1] This mixed drink is typically served in beer glassware, leaving room for a generous amount of beer head which can take on a pink or cherry-like tone. This drink can be quite sweet, and is best enjoyed chilled.

Preparation[edit]

A Queen Mary is made by mixing beer with a few teaspoons of grenadine, to taste. It is commonly served by pouring grenadine into the glass first, followed by beer, leaving room for a generous layer of beer head at the top which can take on a pinkish tone. Maraschino cherries are sometimes added as a cocktail garnish.[2] Less common versions sometimes feature a mix of beer styles, with at least two types of beer mixed into the drink in equal parts.[3]
