Rania Salama (1974) is a Saudi businesswoman and media figure. She studied at the scientific department at Dar Al Hanan Schools (Jeddah), then obtained a BA in English literature from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah in 1997. After graduating, she started her career by planning her own business in electronic publishing before the Internet entered Saudi Arabia, where she launched the first electronic Arabic magazine with unique content in 2000 AD, Arabiyat magazine. In 2006 AD, the facility expanded in information technology and marketing in addition to electronic publishing[1]. In 2003, she started participating in establishing the "Saudi Women" group as a part of her career in public work and community service, which aims to highlight young talents in all fields. She continued it through membership in charitable societies, advisory boards, and sectoral committees, most notably her position as Chairman of the Young Businesswomen's Committee in Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.[2]

In February of 2000 AD, she established Arabiyat magazine as the first comprehensive Arab electronic magazine on the Internet with independent content and a specialized team. Okaz Saudi Arabia from 2004 to 2008, and a member of the group of experts and advisors in the Arab Committee for Electronic Media of the Council of Arab Information Ministers 2009. A documentary book was published for it in 2008 on girls’ education in Saudi Arabia and the first regular school for girls in the Kingdom entitled Dar (Al Hanan)[12]. The book includes the biography of the school’s foundation Princess Iffat bint Mohammad Al Thunayan.[13]

Rania owns and operates Arabiyat International Corporation for Information Technology, Arabiyat International Corporation for Trade, and membership in other boards of directors and committees concerned with the business sector.
