Raoul Pal
Raoul Pal (born 1968) is the CEO and co-founder of Real Vision and CEO and publisher of The Global Macro Investor.[1] He was co-manager of the GLG global macro hedge fund in London.[2][3] In 2004, he retired from fund management and started The Global Macro Investor in January 2005.[1] He was one of a relatively small number of investors to predict the mortgage crisis of 2008–2009.[4] He was co-head of hedge fund sales in equities and equity derivatives at Goldman Sacks in Europe, based in London.[4][5]

In 2014 Pal, together with three other founders, launched Real Vision, “The Netflix of Finance”, an on-demand TV channel for finance with the mission of democratizing financial information.[6][7]

Pal is the author, founder and CEO of the financial research publication Global Macro Investor.[8][9]
Media appearances[edit]
Pal has been featured in the media in such publications as the Financial Times,[2] Bloomberg,[10] Market Watch,[4] and the New York Times; [7]in television on CNBC,[11] Business Insider,[12] MSN,[13] and Yahoo Finance.[14] He has discussed his views on investing in Bitcoin,[15][16] India,[17] bonds,[18][12] coming recession,[19][20][21] Netflix[22] and more.
In 2007 he was involved in the BBC television series Million Dollar Traders, where he designed and managed the training program for the participants.[23][24][25][26]
Pal was featured in a Tim Ferriss podcast, along with hedge fund manager Mark Hart.[27][28]
An essay of Pal’s entitled “India” is included in the book The Best Investment Writing: Volume I: Selected writing from leading investors and authors.[29] He also wrote “The End Game,” the most-read internet financial article in history.[30]
