Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Dallas is a Hindu Mandir in Grand Prairie, Texas. It is named after Swaminarayan, a Hindu Monk. The address of SSM Dallas is 2114 Pine Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050[1].
History[edit]
In the 1980s, Hindu Followers of Shree Swaminarayan in the Dallas Area needed a Permanent location to meet as the Hindu Population was growing too big to meet at others homes. With donations from members, a 19,000 square foot church with 1.75 acres of land was bought in Grand Prairie in 1988. Renovations were completed on July 4th 1991 and soon after the opening ceremony was performed[2]. In 1999, the Temple was expanded to include a bigger kitchen and dining hall, increasing the campus size to 24,000 square feet. In 2016, The temple celebrated its 25th anniversary[3].
