Slice is an Indian fintech startup company that specializes in digital wallets, e-commerce, payment system, and financial services, headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka with operations in the Asia-Pacific region.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

Slice was founded in 2016 by Rajan Bajaj and Deepak Malhotra, with the aim to assist customers, especially their financial journey by offering innovative and customized solutions. Founder Rajan Bajaj was listed in the Forbes 30 under 30 list.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16]

Slice is the first financial product that caters to the needs of and since its inception has acquired over 300,000 customers from 30 major cities in India and has a whopping 950,000 on the waitlist. By 2022, Slice aims to register 1 million customers and expand its reach to 50 cities, along with offering job opportunities in engineering, product, and design roles.[17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]

Slice has raised $53.7 million in 8 funding rounds as of 2021. Leading venture capital firms like Gunosy Capital, Das Kapital, Finup, Blume Ventures India, Simile Venture Partner, EMVC, Tracxn Labs, Better Capital, and Sachin Bansal's Navi, as well as angel investors like Kunal Shah, have funded Slice.[25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34]

Slice has established a reputation as a digital lending platform because of its flagship product, the Slice Card, a non-traditional credit card built exclusively for India's millennials and Gen Z to help them manage their finances.[35] The card's distinguishing characteristic is that the discounts and incentives gained by users are focused on offerings that will be more useful to the younger generation, such as food delivery platforms, gym memberships, cab aggregators, and other similar activities. Slice’s mobile application is also user-friendly and designed to facilitate interactive sessions.[36][37][38][39][40]
