Sonar is a cryptocurrency project launched on June 15th, 2021. The native token of the Sonar ecosystem, PING, currently trades on both the Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum blockchains.

The Sonar Platform is a cryptocurrency analytics and tracking suite which provides tools for traders, as well as crypto-oriented educational material for new users. [1]

History

Pre-Launch and Launch

Sonar was conceived in April of 2021 by an international group of founders. With the utility token, PING, launching on PancakeSwap on the Binance Smart Chain in June of 2021, trading opened to the public.

PING reached an all-time high of $110 million market cap in September of 2021, at a valuation of $0.027 a token. [2]

Cross-Chain Bridge

In October of 2021, Sonar expanded onto the Ethereum blockchain with the release of a cross-chain bridge and ePING, the Ethereum equivalent of PING. [3]

Platform Beta

In late December of 2021, the first Beta version of the Sonar Platform was released. The initial features available were Token Studio, a charting tool, and News Room, which is an AI-powered crypto news aggregation and summarization feed.[4]

From January 2022 onwards, continuous updates and additions to the Platform have been released, adding features such as AI Social Media Sentiment, which gives sentiment scores for the crypto market as well as individual tokens.[5]

Formation of the Company

In March of 2022, Sonar completed the formation of the company as Resonance Labs LTD in Malta. Currently, Sonar is seeking registration of their Whitepaper with the MFSA. [6]
