Sridhar Sunkad is an Indian entrepreneur and technologist. Sunkad is better known as the managing director of EON Reality Pte Ltd.[1] He has been credited to working with VR/AR technology for 20 years.[2]
Early life and education[edit]
Sridhar Sunkad was born and raised in Bangalore, India. He completed his primary education at JPA school following by secondary at Vijaya High School. He studied at National College Jayanagar. He has been active with Scouts and NCC, and went on to do a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at B.M.S. College of Engineering. Along with Engineering studies, Sridhar was active with the Mountaineering club in the campus and went on to complete Basic and Advance Mountaineering courses from HMI, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute.[3]
Career[edit]
After studying at at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, Sridhar started as a Project coordinator with Clarus AB in Gothenburg, Sweden. In 1999, when EON Reality founders started the venture in California, Sridhar relocated to California and joined the team as a startup team member.[4]
From 2003 till 2007, he was based in Chicago, USA driving the Midwest market accounts along with managing the channels growth for Asian markets.[5] Since 2008, Sunkad is based in Singapore managing the subsidiary operations and growing the APAC markets for EON Reality.[6]
