Tamer Hassan is a business executive who serves as CEO of White Ops. He is a co-founder of White Ops and previously founded Compel Data Technologies.[1] Prior to his business career, Hassan served in the U.S. Air Force as a Major.

Early life[edit]

Tamer Hassan was raised in Northern California and taught himself to code at the age of eight. He studied at the Air Force Academy in Colorado and after the 9-11 attacks[2] Hassan served as a Major in the U.S. Air Force, and was deployed as a Combat Search and Rescue helicopter pilot during the Iraq War and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.[3]

Business career[edit]

While serving in the Air Force, Hassan became the founder and CEO of computer consultancy Compel Data Technologies Inc. In 2012 Hassan co-founded White Ops,[3] for which he first served as the chief technology officer.[4] In 2018 Hassan led a collaboration between the public and private sector, including the FBI and Google, in the discovery and disruption of the 3ve botnet fraud.[5] It was the largest FBI-private collaboration in history.[2][3] He also worked to hunt down several other botnets and examples of ad fraud.[6] Hassan was named CEO of White Ops in 2019.[3] In 2019 Fast Company ranked Hassan first on its "Most Creative Person in Business" list.[2]
