TimeXtender is a privately held international Data Integration, Data Warehouse Automation & Data Preparation software company founded in Aarhus, Denmark. The company's product is used to prepare data for analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, the product is defined as an automated low-code, Data Estate Builder.
History[edit]
TimeXtender was first developed in 2004 by Heine Krog Iversen as part of his role as co-founder of a consultancy firm. The tool was developed as an standardisation tool for business intelligence development in an ERP.
TimeXtender was first incorporated in 2005 by Heine Krog Iversen, Henning Krog Iversen and Anne Sondrup Iversen[1]. Heine Krog Iversen was appointed CEO, while Thomas Christiansen was appointed CTO. The first official version of TimeXtender was released in 2006.
- 2006 - The first public version of TimeXtender released and TimeXtender becomes a Microsoft Gold Partner.
- 2007 - TimeXtender Version 2 including the first application Adapters released (AX and NAV)
- 2008 - TimeXtender Version 3 including the Multiple Environments feature was released.
- 2010 - TimeXtender Version 4 including the Documentation feature was released.
- 2012 - The product went through a technical refactoring and was relaunched as TX2012.
- 2012 - First North America office opened in Portland, Oregon - focusing solely on services and supporting "Jet Global", TimeXtender's OEM division.
- 2014 - TX2014 with the intelligent managed execution released.
- 2015 - Product renamed to TX DWA and version 15.10 released.
- 2015 - Decision made to pivot to a 100% Software company.
- 2016 - TimeXtender becomes Qlik Technology Partner.
- 2017 - Discovery Hub® becomes a registered trademark and product name changes from TX DWA to Discovery Hub®.
- 2017 - TimeXtender® moves to subscription-only, pivoting TimeXtender to a Software as a Service (SaaS) company. North America offices shift focus from services and Jet Global, to the same mission as EMEA.
- 2017 - Introduces Azure SQL database support as the foundation for Discovery Hub® in the cloud.
- 2018 – 3000 companies now use TimeXtender technology for their data management processes
- 2020 - Discovery Hub® product is rebranded as TimeXtender®

TimeXtender is a low-code data management platform for Microsoft database technologies, on-premises and in the cloud, that combines features for data integration, data preparation and data governance. As of August 2021, TimeXtender latest version is 20.10.21
