Trax Credit Union is a credit union founded in 1935. Starting with an investment of only $70, Trax Credit Union has grown to over $450 million in assets at nine locations, with more than 41,000 members throughout Tampa Bay and Florida.[1] Employees of CSX Railroad and of Trax Company Groups are eligible for membership in this credit union. Trax Credit Union is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).[2]

Trax Credit Union provides personal loans, revolving lines of credit, home equity, business and mortgage loans, as well as new and used auto loans, credit cards and auto buying services. They provide traditional checking and savings accounts, and also offer money market, money management, IRAs, CDs, as well as insurance, investment, merchant and payroll deduction services.[3]
History
Trax Credit Union was formerly known as Railroad & Industrial Federal Credit Union and changed its name to Trax Credit Union in October 2021.[4] Railroad & Industrial Federal Credit Union was founded in 1935 by 14 railroad employees with a $70 joint investment. They opened the first branch in Tampa, Florida.
In June 2017, Trax Credit Union opened its ninth branch in Zephyrhills, Florida.[1]
In October 2017, myCUmortgage recognized Trax as their New Partner of the Year.[5]
Trax Credit Union was ranked #80 in DepositAccount.com by Lending Tree's Top 200 Credit Unions in America in 2020. Trax was the only credit union headquartered in Tampa, Florida, to make the list and only one out of eight credit unions in the state of Florida to make the list.[1] [6]
Trax Credit Union earned Bauer's 5-Star Rating in December 2021. This superior rating is based on financial data obtained from call report data as reported to federal regulators. BauerFinancial is completely independent.[7]
