True Geordie
Brian Davis (born January 26, 1987), better known online as True Geordie, formerly known as FootballFan533, is a British YouTuber from Newcastle, England. His name refers to the colloquial term "Geordie", a name associated with people from the Newcastle area. He is known for uploading rants about his favorite football club, Newcastle United. Brian became well-known after his first video went viral. The clip, 'A True Geordie's view on Nile Ranger' was followed by further passionate rants concerning his local football team, Newcastle United FC.
Brian also Covers Premier League previews and reviews of the weekend's action, as well as analysis and panel shows covering a wide range of sports, including Boxing.[1]
In September 2016 he uploaded the first episode of 'The True Geordie Podcast' which now has hundreds of episodes. Laurence Mckenna has co-hosted in almost all of the podcasts and now features in the vast majority of his videos.
On his Podcast he has had various YouTube as well as mainstream celebrities such as his Idol Alan Shearer[2]Ian Wright, Ricky Gervais Just to name a few.[3][4] He even invited Nile Ranger; the former Newcastle United player who True Geordie made his first ever rant about.[5]
In 2018 the True Geordie set up a company YouTube channel and company alongside other YouTubers WillNE and Stephen Tries, and podcast co-host Laurence Mckenna. The channel is heavily sports related and the channels YouTube stars along with the people that run the channel behind the scenes have teamed up on several occasions to play as the football team 'XO FC'.

True Geordie and Mark Bright also commentated on EE Wembley Cup for a second consecutive year in 2016.[7]

YouTube Boxing Controversies[edit]
After commentating YouTubes first Big boxing fixture featuring KSI VS Joe Weller, True Geordie took the reins of the pre-fight press conference,[1] After the press conference, Logan and Jake Paul requested for True Geordie to not commentate on the fight, claiming that he was "biased" towards the KSI camp for allowing him to insult the Pauls without intervening.[8] After speaking over the phone, the situation was resolved and it was confirmed True Geordie would be commentating on the fight.[9] True Geordie Also Commentated on Joe Weller VS Theo Baker AKA Malfoy Nicknamed After a Harry Potter Character. The fight was the biggest amateur boxing match in history[10]
